Public Law-Probity Role

Maddocks seeks experienced lawyers to join their Public Law-Probity team. This dynamic and fast-paced role involves providing commercial advice, governance guidance, contract drafting, procurement support, and probity expertise to Commonwealth Government agencies.

About the Role
  • Provide pragmatic solutions-focused commercial advice, catering to clients' diverse needs.
  • Offer governance guidance, crafting contracts that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support procurement and grant management initiatives, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Deliver probity advice to senior levels within government agencies, maintaining transparency and integrity.

To succeed in this role, you will have 2-5 years PQE experience as a lawyer working with government clients. Your skills and experience should include:

  • Contracting, procurement, and/or grant management expertise.
  • In-depth understanding of probity, integrity in the public sector, and governance principles.
  • General legal experience in dispute resolution, commercial law, administrative law, and general public law.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team environment, driving success through collective efforts.
