Job Opportunity: Plastic Machine Operator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to fill the position of Plastic Machine Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plastic molding equipment, maintaining high-quality production standards, and adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a warehouse or factory environment, excellent communication skills, and a high level of numeracy. They will also possess the ability to work well within a small team, demonstrate attention to detail, and be familiar with industrial equipment.

Responsibilities include:

  • ">
  • Ensuring SOPs are followed, reporting any errors to Quality Control Manager, Production manager or Operations Manager;">
  • Ensuring production sheet 2 is filled in correctly by process worker;">
  • Assisting with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) audits as required;">
  • Performing component inspections with SOP prior to use;">
  • Assisting in training new process work staff on SOPs and reporting results to Quality Control;">
  • Ensuring bottle weight is within specification and adjusting as needed;">
  • Ensuring correct masterbatch is used as per SOP and transporting it to the machine;">
  • Ensuring masterbatch hopper has masterbatch, filling as required, and cleaning any spills immediately;">
  • Ensuring masterbatch is returned to storage at the end of each order;">
  • Ensuring line is cleared of bottles and paperwork at the end of each order and returning paperwork to Quality Control;">
  • Understanding production schedule and reporting any quality issues to Quality Control;">
  • Being able to stop moulding machines in a safe and correct manner in case of emergencies or machine jam-ups;">
  • Assisting to cover staff breaks when needed;">
  • Ensuring good housekeeping and reporting all hazards to Quality Control Manager or Operations Manager;">
  • Ensuring all leak testers are functioning correctly and completing hourly checks by process worker;">
  • Being able to create leak tester samples.">
