About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plastic Injection Moulding Die Setter to join our team at Supaflow Engineering in Meadowbrook, Queensland. This is a full-time role that will be responsible for setting up and operating our state-of-the-art injection moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic components for our diverse range of manufacturing clients, 5 days a week day shift only.

What you'll be doing

  • Set up and operate plastic injection moulding machines to produce components to precise specifications in all types of plastics, including Nylon, PP, LDPE, Polycarbonate, ABS, ASA and more
  • Monitor production runs and make adjustments to machine settings as required to maintain product quality
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks
  • Maintain detailed production records and liaise with quality assurance to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to less experienced team members
  • Robotic programming with 3 axis and 6 axis robots

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Plastic Injection Moulding Die Setter
  • Extensive knowledge of plastic injection moulding processes, materials, and machinery, including Experience in 3 axis and 6 axis robots
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and resolve production issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work as part of a team
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in plastic injection moulding or manufacturing
