
Strategic Labour Planning Specialist

We are dedicated to creating an inclusive work environment that fosters employee growth, learning, and optimal performance. As a Strategic Labour Planning Specialist, you will be pivotal in designing and implementing effective labour planning functions across various sites.
Reporting to the Transformation Business Analyst, you will provide key insights on workforce planning, budget forecasting, and performance to optimise employment outcomes. Your work will involve managing stakeholder relationships, ensuring workforce compliance, and creating high-quality planning models to align with organisational goals.
- Support the delivery of operational labour planning strategy.
- Develop master roster templates for all sites within the Work portfolio.
- Develop master rosters in alignment to industry awards and enterprise agreements.
- Optimise labour efficiency to support ratios and demand planning.
- Optimise labour models for Supported Hosted Employment, where employment occurs outside designated sites.
- Provide reporting and commentary on key events, such as workforce shortfalls, overtime, absenteeism, and support ratios.
- Provide requirements for labour expenses.
- Support calculations for wage compliance and roster scenario modelling.
- Plan labour requirements for national orders, tenders, and contracts.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proactive and strategic workforce planner with a deep understanding of industry trends.
- Skilled at optimising operational processes to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement across teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business or related fields.
- Strong workforce planning and management skills, including demand planning, daily scheduling, and budget-based roster development.
- Proficiency in workforce systems, especially workforce modelling, forecasting, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skills for data management, analysis, and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a logical approach to developing and implementing solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships and addressing sensitive issues effectively.
