The Department for Child Protection is seeking a dedicated and passionate professional to join our team as a Child Protection Specialist. This full-time term position is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their families.
About the Role
This role is responsible for providing effective case management services, delivering intervention strategies to safeguard children, and promoting positive outcomes. You will work closely with other professionals to deliver services to Port Augusta and surrounding communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management services to respond to the needs of children and their families, aligned to statutory guidelines.
- Develop and implement intervention strategies to promote positive outcomes for children.
- Assist children in out-of-home care to reconnect with their birth families and achieve reunification.
- Support parents in developing appropriate parenting skills.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a degree-level qualification in Social Work or a related field, such as Community Services or Human Services. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
