Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchase goods and materials in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and improved prices.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of business with suppliers to achieve cost savings and improved performance.
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Assess and evaluate suppliers to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities.
  • Develop and implement KPIs to analyze and improve supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within the department.
Requirements:
  • CIPS Level 4-6 or similar qualification in Purchasing or at least 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience of supplier selection and management.
  • Previous experience with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
