About the Role

The primary objective of this position is to collaborate closely with transitioning ADF members to provide expert guidance and advice on upskilling for current employment, cross-skilling into roles within their current occupation, or transitioning to a new occupation. This includes providing recommendations for training and education pathways and options.

This role will be responsible for delivering career coaching and associated individualized job transition supports to transitioning Eligible Australian Defence Force (ADF) Members and their families from military to civilian life.

This role is a permanent part-time position, office-based in Darwin.

About The BUSY Group

The BUSY Group is a not-for-profit organization with 45 years of experience as a community partner. With 5 business entities operating across 100+ locations Australia-wide, we offer an extensive range of employment services and programs, vocational training, apprenticeships, mentoring, NDIS, disability employment support, specialist schools, and allied health services.

About You
  • Previous experience in a similar role of developing and delivering work readiness and employability skills within industry, youth support, and/or education sectors.
  • A demonstrated ability to successfully engage clients in relevant and dynamic learning.
  • Experience working with people who are overcoming adversity.
  • Good understanding of a broad range of industries and vocational education and training.
  • Proven ability to develop cooperative working relationships and work as part of a team with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, in industry, vocational education and training, and the school community to ensure outcomes for students are achieved.
  • Must have one of the following:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the employment services industry or community services sector;
  • Cert IV in Career Development (or similar);
  • Minimum 4 years full-time ADF service in the preceding 5 years.
  • Baseline Security Clearance or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check;
  • Open drivers license.
