The Procurement Specialist role encompasses the coordination and provision of advice to Project Managers on all aspects of procurement processes.
This specialist plays a pivotal part in ensuring the effective facilitation and delivery of procurement services, which are fundamental to the organization's operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate procurement processes, providing guidance to Project Managers as required.
- Represent the organization at Tender Evaluation Panels, focusing primarily on Capital Works projects.
- Develop and facilitate tender documentation, educating staff on procurement principles and requirements.
- Contribute to ongoing review of tender arrangements to optimize value for money outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- A degree or diploma with substantial relevant experience, or higher formal qualifications in a related field.
- Detailed knowledge of tendering, contract administration, and risk management functions, including OHS and best value requirements.
- The ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet project objectives within set time frames and budgets.
