The Bureau is seeking an experienced Logistics and Procurement Support Specialist for a 12-month contract in Melbourne CBD.

About the Role:

This role focuses on developing strategic procurement support agreements for operational networks. The selected Logistics and Procurement Support Specialist will collaborate with Bureau staff, providing procurement expertise and inventory management according to Commonwealth Procurement Rules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate procurement activities and deliverables to Operations.
  • Liaise with Subject Matter Experts to gather procurement requirements, coordinate funding, and prioritize workloads.
  • Prepare procurement documentation, including Registration, Procurement Plans, Approach to Market, and Evaluation reports.
  • Obtain official approvals of orders and contracts, including purchase order documentation.
  • Ensure purchasing activities align with Agency policies and Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Manage the movement of stock items from suppliers using SAP EBS and IBM Maximo Asset Management.
  • Arrange and track official orders against supplier contracts.
  • Assist with asset coordination, including obtaining quotes and invoicing, through to asset disposal.
  • Perform other related administration duties as directed.
  • Maintain compliance with Bureau's Social Justice Strategy.
  • Adhere to all Bureau work, health, and safety policies and procedures.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Desirable Skills:

  • Understanding of Commonwealth Procurement Rules.
  • Qualifications or experience applicable to Procurement.
  • Experience with SAP EBS and IBM Maximo Asset Management.
  • Inventory management qualifications or experience.
