Job Description

We are seeking a commercially driven and industry-savvy Vertical Lead to spearhead growth, innovation, and profitability across our Media vertical.

This is a high-impact leadership role that blends strategic vision, deep industry expertise, and customer obsession.

You will lead a team focused on expanding existing client relationships and acquiring new business.

You will work closely with Strategic Growth and Delivery Chapter Leads to ensure our solutions solve critical industry challenges and deliver measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders to ensure impactful delivery and unlock follow-on opportunities.
  • Guide your team in developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts.
  • Lead high-stakes client negotiations in collaboration with the Sales team.
  • Act as a thought leader, contributing to industry trends and insights.
  • Support clients through the Commercial Coach framework to implement effective pricing strategies.

Business Development:

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the Media vertical.
  • Own and manage the vertical's P&L, driving sustainable revenue and profitability.
  • Lead implementation of vertical growth plans aligned with industry objectives.
  • Partner with Sales and Embed & Grow chapters to target new business opportunities.
  • Maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities and ensure offerings solve real industry problems through insights and innovation coaching.

Team Management:

  • Lead and develop a team of 1–4 direct reports.
  • Collaborate with Chapter Leads to ensure effective resourcing and margin optimisation.
  • Monitor vertical performance against targets.
  • Drive strategic projects and initiatives across CommBank iQ.
