Drive strategic growth and client impact in one of Australia's most dynamic verticals.About the RoleCommBank iQ is seeking a commercially driven and industry-savvy Vertical Lead – Media & Telco to spearhead growth, innovation, and profitability across our Media and Telco vertical.
This is a high-impact leadership role that blends strategic vision, deep industry expertise, and customer obsession.Reporting into the Customer Growth Division, you'll lead a team focused on expanding existing client relationships and acquiring new business.
You'll work closely with Strategic Growth and Delivery Chapter Leads to ensure our solutions solve critical industry challenges and deliver measurable impact.What You'll Do:Strategic Client LeadershipBuild trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders to ensure impactful delivery and unlock follow-on opportunities.Guide your team in developing new client relationships and expanding existing accounts.Lead high-stakes client negotiations in collaboration with the Sales team.Act as a thought leader, contributing to industry trends and insights.Support clients through the Commercial Coach framework to implement effective pricing strategies.Business GrowthDefine and execute the strategic vision for the Media vertical.Own and manage the vertical's P&L, driving sustainable revenue and profitability.Lead implementation of vertical growth plans aligned with industry objectives.Partner with Sales and Embed & Grow chapters to target new business opportunities.Maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities and ensure offerings solve real industry problems through insights and innovation coaching.Team & Resource ManagementLead and develop a team of 1–4 direct reports.Collaborate with Chapter Leads to ensure effective resourcing and margin optimisation.Monitor vertical performance against targets.Drive strategic projects and initiatives across CommBank iQ, Commonwealth
