The position of Insolvency Senior Accountant presents an opportunity to develop expertise in formal insolvency appointments, trade-ons, liquidations, receiverships, administrations, receipts/payments, and asset management. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of formal insolvency appointments, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide professional communication (written and verbal) with clients, creditors, lawyers, and other stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and resolving conflicts efficiently.
  • Support the team on informal advisory engagements, including independent business reviews and turnaround assignments, utilizing analytical skills to drive results.
  • Compile financial information, conduct analysis, draw conclusions, and assist with report preparation, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Investigate antecedent transactions and insolvent trading, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Develop professional relationships with clients and stakeholders, effectively representing the firm's capabilities and promoting its services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to insolvency, restructuring, or forensic accounting.
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field, with a strong foundation in accounting principles.
  • CA or CPA qualification, or active pursuit of completion, with support provided by the firm.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities, essential for effective interaction with team members and external parties.
  • A high level of accuracy and meticulousness, crucial for sensitive financial work.
  • A proactive, adaptable, eager to learn, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
