Pacific Australia Labour Mobility Scheme Governance Specialist

This is a key role within our Group Talent Acquisition Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading governance and compliance functions across the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) Scheme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The role involves developing and maintaining a robust compliance framework aligned with PALM Deed and Guidelines, as well as internal governance standards.
  • The individual will lead internal audits and compliance reviews across sites, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • They will provide specialist advice on compliance risks and regulatory obligations, interpreting complex documentation with confidence.
  • A strong understanding of the PALM Scheme is essential, along with experience in compliance reporting and working with PALMIS.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • You are a results-driven professional with a proven track record in governance and compliance.
  • Bring a proactive approach to auditing and compliance, with a keen eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in interpreting regulatory requirements and providing clear, practical advice to stakeholders.
  • Hold in-depth knowledge of the PALM Deed and Guidelines and their associated compliance obligations.
  • Be proficient in compliance reporting and experienced working with PALMIS.
  • Exhibit strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and business acumen.
  • Display high integrity, autonomy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel to regional and remote sites.
  • Knowledge of the meat processing industry advantageous.
