Electoral Governance Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Electoral Governance Expert to join our team.

Job Description:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the coordination of corporate governance, policy development and advice within ECQ.
  • Coordinate ECQ's compliance with corporate governance responsibilities such as strategic planning, annual reporting, Estimates preparations and Ministerial briefings.
  • Provide authoritative, strategic and tactical advice to support reviews of Queensland's electoral boundaries and arrangements.

Initiatives and Activities:

  • Contribute to strategic policy, research and evaluation initiatives that support delivery of the ECQ's objectives.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement in ECQ's operations and develop recommendations for consideration by senior representatives.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead and coordinate the work of the Strategy and Governance team.
  • Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including government departments and non-government organisations.

Requirements:

  • No mandatory qualifications, but knowledge of electoral regulatory practices, governance and policy delivery is desirable.
  • Ability to work irregular hours during election periods.
