Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Controller to provide operational and base maintenance support to the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) customer for their CH47 F (SG) fleet.

The ideal candidate will have experience in controlling daily taskings of base maintenance activities and repairs of aircraft, aircraft components to meet base maintenance planned schedules.

A key aspect of this role will be contributing to the creation and maintenance of aircraft maintenance schedules.

In addition, the successful applicant will support coordination of spares, materials, tools, aircraft components, and support equipment requisitioning, receipt, and allocation.

This position also involves supporting collection and disposition of aircraft and components maintenance data.

The forward planner will contribute to upcoming Base Maintenance activities, including maintenance forecasts, spares, POL, materials, TMDE, and reporting any maintenance activities issues or delays to schedules to the Maintenance Operations Manager.

Requirements
  • Computer Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (cMRO) System qualifications or similar
  • Practical experience in a paper-based (AMD) maintenance environment (12 months desirable)
  • Practical experience in using program management software, such as Open Plan Professional and Milestone professional (desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to use initiative, prioritise, and work to tight timeframes with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated success in developing effective working relationships within a complex organisational structure to meet team, business unit, and organisational goals
  • Demonstrated knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures, aircraft maintenance/modification operating procedures, and documentation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
  • Demonstrated experience in using Technical Manuals/Publiations in the repair of Aeronautical product and system
  • Ability to read and interpret technical directives
  • Previous Aircraft Trade experience advantageous but not mandatory
  • Eligibility to obtain a Defence Security clearance with Australian Government Security Vetting
