Operational Readiness Specialist Job Overview

  • Build and manage asset hierarchies for plants.
  • Perform criticality assessments of assets.
  • Review safe work procedures and plant area processing manuals.
  • Provide monthly site project updates in the form of slide packs and presentations.
  • Lead project engineering efforts to procure and deliver maintenance tooling and equipment for new plants, including collaboration with sites and contractors to ensure fit-for-purpose equipment and coordination of necessary documentation.
  • Develop, schedule, and coordinate maintenance training programs for new plants.
  • Create onboarding materials and roll out programs for new plant staff.

To succeed in this role, you will need

Essential Expertise:

  • A tertiary qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, along with significant experience in a similar role, or equivalent asset management experience at a senior level within a gold or mineral processing plant environment.
  • A strong working knowledge of asset management best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and plan for potential scenarios across your remit, mitigating associated risk.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS software, preferably Pronto.
  • A sound working knowledge of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations.
