The Role

We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to support our national Corporate & Commercial and Property, Environment & Finance practices. This is a permanent part-time role that will be based in Sydney or Newcastle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of client management plans and conduct competitor analysis to inform business development strategies.
  • Capture and maintain relevant matter information for use in bids, tenders, and marketing collateral.
  • Extract the maximum functionality from our BDM and client-facing systems and processes, and be viewed as an expert in these areas.
  • Support the maintenance of client data and preparation of mailing lists.
  • Work with the wider BDM and Marketing and Communications team to ensure a coordinated approach to client and industry-facing activities.
  • Prepare and maintain marketing collateral to support business development activities.

Requirements

  • Prior business development experience in the legal industry.
  • Experience in a Commercial or Property practice is not essential but highly desirable.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and above-average ability using the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong process management and administrative skills.
  • A genuine interest in keeping up to date with industry trends and their implications for the firm and our key clients.
