Maintenance and Repair Professional

Casual role with flexible hours (approximately 15-20 hours per week)

Suitable for someone transitioning from full-time work to a more flexible lifestyle

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on buildings and facilities
  • Conduct minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory of tools and supplies
  • Assist in renovation and improvement projects
  • Coordinate emergency repairs and maintenance
  • Collaborate with staff to identify facility needs
  • Implement cost-saving measures
Fleet Management Expertise:
  • Oversee maintenance and servicing of vehicles
  • Manage vehicle registration and compliance
  • Train and supervise drivers on safe driving practices
  • Conduct safety inspections of vehicles
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
  • Assist in the purchasing and sale of vehicles
  • Report fleet issues to management and recommend improvements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in general handyperson or maintenance roles
  • Trade qualifications in carpentry, electrical, or plumbing (desirable but not essential)
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to building maintenance
  • Strong organizational skills to manage maintenance schedules and fleet servicing
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and fleet management processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff, contractors, and external service providers
  • Capacity to respond promptly to emergency repairs and maintenance needs
  • Working with Children certification
  • Driver's license
