Real Estate Development Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Development Manager to join our team. This key role will be responsible for leading the acquisition of new development opportunities across Sydney and NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and secure new development opportunities in the real estate market, including greenfield sites, infill projects, and value-add assets.
  • Lead end-to-end transaction management, from feasibility modelling to legal negotiations and consultant engagement.
  • Build detailed development feasibilities, cash flow models, and business cases to inform investment decisions.
  • Leverage local networks of agents, landowners, consultants, and development partners to access on- and off-market opportunities.
  • Negotiate favourable outcomes that meet financial, strategic, and sustainability objectives.
  • Incorporate town planning, subdivision, and construction considerations into acquisition assessments.
  • Present acquisition opportunities to the Investment Committee and Board for approval.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in property, finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years' post-graduate experience in Sydney's real estate market, with deep local knowledge and established relationships.
  • Advanced skills in feasibility modelling, valuation, and financial analysis (Excel or similar).
  • Strong understanding of development documentation, town planning, and subdivision processes.
  • Demonstrated success in managing due diligence, consultants, and legal negotiations through the transaction lifecycle.
  • A well-developed network of agents, consultants, and landowners across Sydney.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills, including preparing Board-level proposals.
