Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Land Acquisition Specialist to join our team and contribute to one of NSW's Critical State Significant Infrastructure projects. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a challenging role that will drive the property acquisition process, leveraging expertise in the Just Terms Act.

The successful candidate will have 5-10 years' experience in land & property acquisitions with a strong understanding of the Just Terms Act. They will also possess qualifications such as a Tertiary degree in Civil engineering, Estate or Property management, and experience in managing and providing advice on land access and acquisitions in a multidisciplinary team across major infrastructure/utilities projects.

This role requires strong leadership skills, including the ability to develop strategies and management plans for the negotiation and acquisition of all necessary easements and other land access rights. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver executive level reports and program schedules.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drive and oversee the property acquisition processes, leveraging expertise in the Just Terms Act.
  • Collaborate with internal land acquisition team, consultants and external stakeholders to streamline and refine land acquisitions.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the negotiation and acquisition of all necessary easements and other land access rights.
  • Lead government and agency consultation, and coordinate property owner consultation during all phases of acquisition.
