About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Visual Effects (VFX) Technical Director to join our team. As a key member of our VFX department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality particle, pyro, rigid body, fluid, cloth, fur, and hair simulations for top feature films.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement complex simulations using Houdini and custom pipeline tools.
  • Work closely with the animation and layout teams to ensure seamless integration of simulations into final shots.
  • Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to simulation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in high-end feature film VFX production.
  • Proven expertise in producing photoreal effects such as smoke, fire, clouds, water, steam, and explosions.
  • Extensive knowledge of Houdini and its associated toolsets.
  • Familiarity with pipeline issues and problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
