Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing departmental costs and ensuring budget adherence.
  • Support product costing and profitability initiatives.
  • Produce high-quality food products, with a particular focus on mastery in Danish pastry production, including laminating Danish, croissants, and donuts.
  • Maintain recipe accuracy and quality consistency.
  • Meet production schedules and provide direction to other chefs.
  • Allocate tasks, manage team productivity, train and supervise team members, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure all staff are trained in food safety, HACCP standards, and safe equipment handling.
About You
  • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in Danish pastry production.
  • Advanced baking and pastry skills, particularly in lamination techniques.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Able to train and guide team members effectively.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ingredients, flavor combinations, and baking techniques.
  • Creativity and innovation in product development.
  • An understanding of OHS and food safety standards.
