Job Overview

The role of Senior Advisor is part of a multi-disciplinary team developing tools and processes to support and resolve distressed clearing and settlement facilities.

  • Developing and testing crisis management plans for critical infrastructures ensures the stability of the financial system.
  • Leading work to develop robust and legally sound processes and arrangements to deploy crisis management powers enhances our ability to respond effectively in crisis situations.
  • Collaborating closely with other parts of the clearing and settlement section including supervisors of critical infrastructure and subject matter experts promotes cross-functional understanding and cooperation.
  • Leading engagement with stakeholders including other domestic regulators and critical infrastructures facilitates collaboration and knowledge sharing among key players in the industry.
  • Collaborating widely within the RBA including engaging with other areas working on crisis readiness enables us to leverage expertise and best practices across the organization.
  • Working with RBA executives and the Payments System Board provides opportunities for strategic planning and decision-making at the highest levels.
  • Contributing to international policy development in relation to FMI resolution and crisis readiness helps shape the global agenda for financial stability and crisis management.

For this role, you will be highly familiar with Australian financial markets, or have experience in crisis management and/or regulatory practice. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position. Results-driven professionals with excellent communication and project management skills are ideal candidates.
