Product Specialist Mbd Vic Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Product Specialist to lead our sales efforts in microbiology business areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing competitor and market knowledge, executing commercial strategies, and managing a sales pipeline and process to meet or exceed operating plans.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the sales process and a proven track record of achieving results. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work autonomously and strategically.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the VIC and TAS territory;
- Provide an accurate sales forecast on a monthly basis for the microbiology business areas;
- Design and implement effective business territory plans;
- Use data analysis tools to optimize sales and margin metrics for key customer accounts;
- Ensure feedback, including win/loss reasons, competitor intelligence, and market knowledge, is provided to the broader sales teams;
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy that meets or exceeds sales targets;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders;
- Provide training and support to colleagues as needed;
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments;
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent tertiary level industry qualification;
- 3-5 years' experience in a food, pharmaceutical, or consulting laboratory or commercial experience in a diagnostic instrument setting;
- Previous experience in capital equipment and reagent sales in Microbiology and/or other similar fields is highly regarded;
- Technical understanding of markets, particularly within food, consulting, or pharmaceutical laboratory settings;
- Strong understanding of the Sales process with a proven track record to achieve results;
