Ministry Coordinator Job Description

The Ministry Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Summit Program, overseeing training and equipping the next generation of gospel workers. This position is crucial in supporting our mission to reach people with the gospel of Jesus.

Based primarily at our campsite at Galston, you will work closely with trainees to support them in fulfilling the requirements of their course. You will also be involved in writing training materials, assisting with the creation and management of Christian Discovery sessions used on camps; leading and speaking on camps, and participating in our mentoring program.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and assess the Certificate IV in Christian Ministry and Theology
  • Oversee on-camp Christian Discovery sessions and other spiritual inputs for staff
  • Support CRU's mission by equipping the next generation of gospel workers

Requirements:

  • Outstanding Christian character with a mature faith
  • Passion for sharing the gospel with children
  • Full agreement with CRU's 'Basis of Belief'
  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience in theology, divinity, or Christian ministry
  • Experience in creating and delivering biblical teaching material (e.g., sermons or training seminars)
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Ability to teach the Bible to children and apply it to non-churched audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current driver's license
  • NSW Working with Children Check
