Regulatory Legal Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team in a regulatory capacity. As a key member of the Office of the Registrar General (ORG), you will play a vital role in overseeing the integrity, security, and performance of the NSW land title system.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert legal advice and representation across various legislation administered by ORG, including legislative interpretation and review.
- Support the regulation of NSW's land titles operator through the LPI Concession Deed and Electronic Lodgment Network Operators through the electronic conveyancing regulatory framework.
- Draft high-quality legal and policy documents, such as contracts, service agreements, briefing notes, and correspondence, to ensure efficient and effective legal services for ORG.
- Assist with governance structures to support ORG's oversight, including preparing agendas and minutes of meetings.
- Conduct research and draft advice to facilitate appropriate outcomes for ORG.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on a range of matters and requests for advice to facilitate exchange of information, completion of tasks, and meeting critical deadlines.
- Maintain and update registers and precedent systems to ensure data integrity and consistency of legal services.
- Develop and provide guidance or training material to the business to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
