This is a senior legal position that involves working independently to provide high-quality legal advice across a range of matters.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a government agency or regulatory body and exposure to areas of law including corporate governance, compliance, contracts, liability, regulatory, administrative, privacy, employment and criminal law.
They will contribute to the capability development across the agency to drive awareness of regulatory obligations and legal risk mitigation.
A proactive legal professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to quickly absorb information, analyse, understand and provide definitive advice in a timely manner is required for this role.
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice and counsel to stakeholders.
- Use expertise in corporate governance, commercial, contracts, liability, regulatory, administrative, privacy, employment and criminal law to inform decision-making.
- Navigate complex tasks and projects while maintaining adherence to best practice in all legal matters.

The Office of Transport Safety Investigations (OTSI) conducts fair and balanced investigations and shares safety lessons and insights with transport operators and other stakeholders to improve transport safety.
