About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experimental Scientist to join our team in the Department of Industry, Science and Resources. As an Experimental Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and applying world-leading systems for precision measurement in the field of power systems technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and operate precision electrical measurement systems
  • Provide specialized test and calibration services
  • Contribute to research directions, project planning, and resource management
  • Lead a small team and supervise students
  • Foster and maintain an inclusive, high-performing workplace environment
About the Team

Our team is responsible for providing Australia's peak measurement standards for physical quantities. We work closely with industry partners to develop and maintain measurement systems that meet the needs of the electric power industry.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related discipline
  • Experience in developing innovative and complex automated electrical measurement systems
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
