Join Our Team as a Data Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team at Woolworths Group. As a Data Scientist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

About the Role

This is a permanent role based in our Surry Hills office with flexible work-from-home options. You will be working closely with our senior team members and reporting to the Data Science Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to drive business growth and improve customer experiences
  • Work with our senior team members to design and implement experiments to test hypotheses and drive business outcomes
  • Develop and maintain machine learning models to predict customer behavior and optimize marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data-driven insights into business decisions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data science and analytics
Requirements
  • Background in Statistics or experience in experimental design and research methodologies
  • Proven experience in hands-on data science work, including developing models and feature engineering
  • High level of proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau
  • Demonstrable experience working with cloud platforms and associated native tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact and influence a wide variety of stakeholders
