About the Role

The Principal Scientist will lead a key strategic initiative to develop in-house analytical testing capability. In consultation with senior leadership, you will be instrumental in establishing market trends and priorities and then deliver on a program of works to ultimately provide a superior stability offering of our compounded medicines to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operation of the SLH Laboratory, ensuring compliance to procedures and GMP requirements.
  • Oversee the qualification of laboratory equipment.
  • Manage, train, and support scientists and laboratory technicians.
  • Develop and validate physical and chemical methods for analysis of monoclonal antibodies, antibody drug conjugates, antibiotics, small chemical drug molecules, and drug infusion devices.
  • Design and conduct required experimental work.
  • Prepare protocols and reports as per SLH and ICH guidelines.
  • Investigate non-conformances, OOSs, and deviations as required.
  • Manage the stability study program.
Requirements

You will ideally be Ph.D. qualified, commercially focused, familiar with the strict requirements of cGMP, and able to prioritize workloads to ensure desired outcomes are achieved to challenging deadlines. You will be an independent thinker and innovator with previous experience in various analytical techniques, including HPLC, CZE, ELISA, UV/VIS, and cell-based assays.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 76 hours per fortnight (Mon–Fri). Slade Health Mt Kuring-gai is a good location to consider if you would like a commute to work that doesn't involve CBD traffic.
