Social Worker/Case Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Social Worker/Case Manager. This is a full-time ongoing vacancy in our Berri office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective case management services to respond to the needs of children and their families, aligned to appropriate statutory guidelines.
- Deliver a range of intervention strategies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
- Assist children in out-of-home care to reconnect with their birth families, strengthen relationships, and achieve and maintain reunification.
- Undertake regular visits and support parents in developing appropriate parenting skills.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and organized individual who has the ability to understand factors that contribute to child abuse and confidently apply this understanding to their work and decisions.
This will enable you to identify and respond to the needs and risks to safety, wellbeing, and development of children and young people.
You will have a demonstrated ability to apply culturally sensitive child protection practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and communities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Special Conditions
Essential:
AHP: A degree-level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
PO: Appropriate degree qualification in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health, or related field.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
