
Child and Family Support Advisor

We are seeking a skilled Student Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our student support services, you will play a critical role in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes for students.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide evidence-based assessments and interventions to identify early intervention and prevention opportunities. You will work closely with students, families, school staff, and the community to develop and implement tailored support plans that address the unique needs of each student.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build strong partnerships with families and the school community to promote positive relationships and foster a culture of inclusivity and respect. You will also contribute to educational events that encourage awareness and participation by students, parents, and the community.
To succeed in this position, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be passionate about student support and have a strong commitment to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:- Provide evidence-based assessments and interventions to identify early intervention and prevention opportunities
- Develop and implement tailored support plans that address the unique needs of each student
- Build strong partnerships with families and the school community to promote positive relationships and foster a culture of inclusivity and respect
- Contribute to educational events that encourage awareness and participation by students, parents, and the community
- 12.75% employer contributions and 5% employee contribution rate
- Annual leave, including recreation leave (4 weeks) and 17.5% loading on annual leave; sick leave (10 days); and accrual of long service leave (7 days)
- Accrued days off (ADO) for school holidays
- Negotiable flexible work arrangements
- Relocation expenses and subsidised accommodation (select areas)
- Professional development (PD) allowance plus 2 days of PD leave
- Up to 3 days Study and Research Assistance Scheme (SARAS) leave to undertake further studies or examinations
