Critical Infrastructure Specialist

This is a specialized position responsible for maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of critical infrastructure within data centers. As a Senior Critical Environment Technician, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the standards of our facilities.
About This JobThe successful candidate will be tasked with coordinating maintenance activities, collaborating with management to address operational risks, and providing mentorship to junior technicians. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for performing routine equipment checks, responding to incidents, and optimizing system performance.
In order to excel in this position, the ideal candidate will possess exceptional problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of technical procedures, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on critical environment-related equipment to ensure optimal functionality and identify potential issues.
- Utilize internal CMMS systems to track equipment assets, complete work orders, and maintain accurate records.
- Respond promptly and safely to onsite incident response teams, leveraging knowledge and expertise to resolve situations efficiently.
- Develop and enhance emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, and standard operating procedures related to CE operations and incidents.
- Maintain a high level of proficiency in troubleshooting systems, components, and equipment within trained disciplines.
- Provide expert consultation to lower-level colleagues in troubleshooting systems and problems, fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in mission-critical services, data centers, or high-availability environments.
- 1+ year of experience in a specialized area or related field.
