Job Title:

Strategic Financial Operations Leader

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Financial Operations Leader to oversee the direction of financial control & administrative operations, consolidation insight, and analysis results. This role will provide leadership, direction, and management of our financial strategy in line with key initiatives to support business objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting team activities in areas of Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Inter-Company Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliation. Additionally, they will maintain Fixed Asset Register, perform Sales Commission calculations, and manage SYRUS reporting and controlling/analysis reports on monthly performance to Corporate.

  • Accounting and Monthly Closing Activities:
    • Oversee accounting team in areas of Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, General Ledger, Inter-Company Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliation.
    • Maintain Fixed Asset Register.
    • Perform Sales Commission calculations.
    • Manage SYRUS reporting and controlling/analysis reports on monthly performance to Corporate.
  • Statutory Audit Related Activities:
    • Track audit schedules and confirmations to involve stakeholders if any.
    • Manage Auditors' requests/queries & Audited Accounts finalisation.
  • Tax Related Activities:
    • Prepare GST reports and submissions.
    • Handle With-holding tax reports and submissions.
    • Manage Corporate Tax reports and submissions.
    • Develop Transfer Pricing documentation.
    • Coordinate Dividends management and repatriation.
  • Administration:
    • Manage Company Secretarial related activities - board resolutions, filings/submissions in compliance with Company Act.
    • Liaise with Legal department on lease agreement terms and conditions.
    • Review contracts with business vendors/partners and liaise with Legal where applicable.
    • Liaise with IT & support functions for new store openings (SAP/POS, application/registration for licenses, etc.).
    • Collaborate with IT and Corporate to implement new functionalities.
    • Liaise on store leases and office related matters (e.g. rental, landlord negotiation, office space, administration, etc.).
  • Work Health & Safety:
    • Ensure that the business remains WHS compliant.
    • Provide all employees with WHS induction training and/or annual refresher training.
    • Lead WHS Committee with quarterly meetings and follow up on action plans.
    • Manage end-to-end workplace near misses and reportable incidents, partnering with the team member and manager on appropriate return to work plans.
