Job Description

In this exciting role as a Risk Management Specialist, you will play a vital part in safeguarding the integrity of our operations at The Star Entertainment Group.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Compliance Investigator. As a key member of our Investigations Department, you will conduct thorough investigations into internal and external matters to ensure compliance with statutory and ethical standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to work in a highly regulated industry and contribute to the success of a world-class entertainment destination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal investigations into employees, patrons, and operational matters, ensuring fairness and confidentiality.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Surveillance, Compliance, and Internal Audit to resolve disputes and maintain operational integrity.
  • Manage and maintain databases recording suspicious behaviour and investigations, providing analysis and reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Review patron applications for access to VIP private gaming areas, conducting probity searches and providing authorisations as needed.
  • Work with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and other hotels/casinos to share intelligence and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Experience in investigations within a regulated environment, such as gaming, hospitality, or law enforcement.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to compile detailed reports and actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and statutory obligations within the industry.
