As a critical member of our organization, you will play a key role in providing proactive HR generalist advice and guidance to business leaders.

Job Summary
  • Provide expert HR generalist advice and guidance to senior management.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team and business managers to ensure seamless execution of HR strategies.
  • Spearhead the implementation of standardized processes across various departments.
  • Offer timely ER/IR support to resolve complex issues.
  • Foster Performance & Reward; Employment & Industrial Relations, and Organisation Effectiveness initiatives.
  • Manage workers' compensation and injury management cases in collaboration with HSEQ & PC&G Manager.
  • Act as a point of escalation for HR team regarding payroll issues, union queries, and dispute handling.
  • Support disciplinary investigations, complaint/dispute resolution, and matters at Fair Work Commission.
  • Develop a robust HR Dashboard of key people metrics with Manager PC&G.
  • Maintain currency and relevance of policies, procedures, and governance framework.

This role requires someone with exceptional interpersonal skills, clear communication, and high organizational capabilities. Flexibility is essential due to the ever-changing demands.

Requirements
  • 5-7 years experience in a similar senior influencing role, with sound knowledge of business practices, ideally in mining.
  • Practical experience supporting both salaried and award/EAs-based workforces.
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline (e.g., Humanities, Business/Commerce, Law, Psychology).
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Refined time management skills and ability to handle conflicting priorities.
  • Autonomy, self-drive, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Experience representing an organization at the Fair Work Commission (desirable).
  • Experience supporting HRIS system implementation (desirable).
