About the Role

As a skilled and motivated Geotechnical Engineer, you will create, build, and lead within a unit of the Residue Operations team in the alumina industry.

  • Deliver civil construction projects with geotechnical insight and precision.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to ensure safe, effective outcomes.
  • Lead geotechnical investigations, assessments, and designs that drive project success.
  • Develop technical reports and recommendations that influence construction and operational decisions.
  • Manage geotechnical risks and contribute to practical solutions in a tailings dam setting.

Key Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Civil, Geotechnical or Mine Engineering with experience in geotechnical/tailings dam design, construction and/or operation.
  • Experience in geotechnical assessments of dam stability and Critical State Soil Mechanics.
  • Strong understanding of internationally recognised tailings management standards and best practice guidelines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of soil and tailings characterisation.
  • Expertise in tailings operation and monitoring systems.
