Job Title:

Maintenance Officer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reactive and planned preventive maintenance across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all required maintenance duties and tasks, including work relating to potential refurbishment projects.
  • Undertake daily operational and maintenance checks of all plant, equipment and buildings.
  • Perform general maintenance/handyman duties or work across other trade areas within skill level, as required.
  • Demonstrate understanding of relevant Australian Standards associated with maintenance of a hospital facility.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call service, performing after-hours maintenance/emergency tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Relevant trade experience desirable but not necessary (Plumbing, Mechanical fitter, electrical or Carpentry).
  • Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance, preferably hospitals.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A desire to contribute to the care of others in a mission-based organisation.
