Software Asset Management

The role of a Software Asset Management Analyst is to ensure the accurate and efficient management of software assets across an organisation. This involves working closely with stakeholders to identify, classify, and manage software licenses, as well as implementing processes to prevent software asset waste and optimise IT spending.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage software requests and resolutions in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with software license agreements and company policies
  • Develop and implement processes to track and monitor software usage, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to negotiate software contracts and optimize licensing costs
  • Provide training and support to users on software asset management best practices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in software asset management, IT service management, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of software licensing, ITIL framework, and industry trends
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of software asset management tools and technologies
