Software Asset Management Role

The Software Asset Management (SAM) team is responsible for delivering effective SAM processes, including the maintenance of the software asset register and management of the completeness and accuracy of the software inventory.

We are seeking a highly skilled SAM Analyst to contribute to the team by performing a range of tasks, including:

  • Managing the software request resolver group in the IT service management technology.
  • Maintaining the software asset register and all supporting proof of entitlement and contract evidence.
  • Allocating licenses to users and devices in the software asset management technology.
  • Applying the software license reclamation policy to software inventory.
  • Supporting technical teams to install software through the supply of media and keys.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software asset management principles and standards, as well as sound technical knowledge in IT. They will also have working knowledge of IT service management tools such as Service Now, Cherwell, and Remedy.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responding to or escalating licensing queries from stakeholders.
  • Maintaining the software renewal calendar.
  • Delivering or supporting the delivery of effective license position and software utilization reports.
  • Identifying and reporting compliance issues and risks.

The role may involve delivering an automation-first culture to enhance customer experience and ensure the continued relevance and financial viability of professional services engagements.
