Job Title: Assistant Merchandiser

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Merchandiser.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about fashion and wants to develop their skills in garment production, supplier management, and data analysis.

The successful candidate will assist senior merchandisers in coordinating daily tasks and workload, reviewing and determining suppliers, liaising with suppliers, creating and sending purchase orders, and managing product samples.

This role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate daily tasks and workload to direct reports to ensure timely deliveries
  • Review and determine appropriate suppliers for orders as they arise
  • Liaise regularly with suppliers and build strong positive working relationships to ensure consistent and regular workload
  • Create and send purchase orders to suppliers
  • Quality control and price negotiation
  • Managing a production schedule
  • Managing product samples
  • Receive and distribute parcels
  • Dispatch parcels to suppliers
  • Data entry
  • Administrative duties
Requirements:

A tertiary qualification or equivalent in Product Development/Fashion Design is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, strong written and verbal communication skills, experience liaising with offshore and local vendors, and the ability to successfully multitask and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong numerical and analytical skills, ensuring effective management of production schedules and product samples.
