
Fashion Product Coordinator

Job Description:
A fashion brand aims to translate the Australian lifestyle into fashion, empowering customers to feel relaxed, assured, and beautiful. The brand strives to create architectural store environments that bring confidence and beauty to customers' everyday lives.
We are seeking a Product Coordinator at our Melbourne office to join our team in this exciting role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the design and merchandising team to ensure quality products meet company expectations.
- Manage development deadlines and prioritize workflow under the guidance of the Product Manager.
- Assist designers by setting up tech packs, including BOM and tech CADs for factories.
- Solve make, fabrication, or construction queries with suppliers and the wider team.
- Process lab dips, strike offs, and submissions to the factory.
- Ensure effective workflow through ongoing communication with suppliers.
Critical Path/Production:
- Work with the Production Manager to maintain seasonal timelines according to the company-wide critical path.
- Mitigate and reduce risks to production delivered to retail.
- Upload styles into AP21.
- Create and maintain a shared production tracking document.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to delivery windows for each purchase order.
- Liaise with the design team to resolve design issues affecting production and delivery timelines.
- Manage and approve production fabrics, linings, and trims against set standards.
Garment Tech and Product:
- Attend production fit sessions to monitor development progress.
- Provide weekly updates on workflow in Product Meetings.
- Request, track, and monitor Pre-Production and Shipment Samples.
- Track Receipt and Approval of pre-production and shipment samples within an acceptable timeframe.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent accredited course in Fashion.
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in fashion retail head office.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Excel, and Google Drive.
- Thorough understanding of design and product development processes.
- Proactive interest in industry best practices.
- Experience working with offshore vendors.
- Ability to react quickly to feedback and adjust planning accordingly.
- Understanding of aesthetic and quality standards of designer-level products.
- Highly organized individual with impeccable follow-up and attention to detail.
- Self-motivation, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
