About the Job

The Town of Bassendean is a small local government agency that sits along the Derbarl Yerrigan on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.

Key Responsibilities

This administrative role will be responsible for:

  • Providing support to the Planning and Regulation department.
  • Assisting with animal registrations, residential parking permits, annual fire compliance letters, processing infringement notices, including reminder notices.
  • Supporting the formulation of Council reports, briefing papers, business cases, quarterly reporting, and database updates.
About You

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Administrative experience, preferably in the Local Government sector.
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgement to solve problems as they occur.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Commitment to punctuality and reliability.
