Consumer Protection Specialist

About the Role:

This position requires a professional with excellent leadership skills and expertise in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and project management.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of consumer protection laws and regulations, as well as experience in guiding education and awareness-raising initiatives for industry stakeholders.

The role involves leading teams to deliver Branch outcomes, including managing compliance checks, developing projects related to small businesses, and liaising with government agencies to achieve effective policies.

The ideal candidate will be able to provide guidance on ACCC protocols and systems, and have experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and project management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading teams to deliver Branch outcomes
  • Managing and supervising teams undertaking compliance checks
  • Developing and implementing projects related to small businesses and the ACCC's functions under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010
  • Liaising with government agencies and other stakeholders to achieve effective policies in small business protection and regulation
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, knowledge of ACCC protocols and systems, and experience in project management, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.

A strong understanding of consumer protection laws and regulations is also essential.
