About This Role:

The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a dedicated individual to support the recovery journey of individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

As a Consumer Specialist Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting hope, empowerment and self-determination among our consumers.

You will provide peer support and advocacy to consumers, facilitating psychoeducational groups and workshops to inspire and motivate others.

Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will ensure comprehensive and person-centred care.

Contributions to the development and implementation of recovery-oriented programs and initiatives will be valuable.

This rewarding position requires excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of recovery principles and a genuine commitment to promoting mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work or Cert IV Mental Health Work (Non Clinical), relevant undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications or peer worker training through accredited organisations is highly desirable.
