Job Title: Consumer Specialist Worker
">About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network seeks a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Consumer Specialist Worker within the Wondakka Community Rehabilitation Centre.
As a Consumer Specialist Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery journey of individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Your lived experience and personal insights will be invaluable in promoting hope, empowerment, and self-determination among our consumers.
You will provide peer support and advocacy to consumers, fostering a sense of empowerment and promoting their active participation in treatment and recovery processes. You will also facilitate psychoeducational groups and workshops, sharing your insights and experiences to inspire and motivate others.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure comprehensive and person-centred care. You will contribute to the development and implementation of recovery-oriented programs and initiatives.
A Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work or Cert IV Mental Health Work (Non Clinical), relevant undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications, or peer worker training through accredited organisations is highly desirable.
