Chief Financial Officer Role Summary:

As the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a high-performing team and be accountable for leading our Finance function. You will drive long-term financial strategy, oversee financial operations, and lead statutory financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide strategic advice on complex financial matters to diverse stakeholders.
  2. Drive long-term financial strategy and support groups across the business.
  3. Oversee financial operations, including unclaimed money responsibilities.
  4. Lead statutory financial reporting and financial framework functions.
  5. Prepare annual budget.

Team Overview:

The Chief Financial Officer is part of the Enterprise Services Group, providing core enabling services that support the achievement of our organization's strategic objectives. The Finance team provides trusted and timely advice and services to enable us to make smart decisions on the efficient use of public resources and operate efficiently and effectively.

About You:

To be successful in this challenging and rewarding role, you will have demonstrated ability to lead, support, and influence large teams in a dynamic and complex environment. You will have considerable experience in the direct management of large teams and be able to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

You will have a proven track record operating at a senior executive level, having managed a complex finance function within the public sector. Your ability to operate strategically across the business will be complemented by your commitment to problem-solving, understanding challenges, communicating, and supporting your team at an operational level.
