Job Overview

This is a senior leadership role that involves strengthening safety and security across Tasmania. As the head of strategic risk and safety, you will have a unique opportunity to build a system-wide program that drives cultural change, enhances workforce capability, and improves safety outcomes.

The Director – Statewide Training and Delivery is responsible for ensuring the provision of high-level analysis, oversight, and advice on strategic risk issues; Occupational Violence Prevention (OVP) education development and provision; and high-level support and advice to strategic business processes and frameworks.

  • Develop and implement OVP policies, procedures, and protocols to minimize risks.
  • Design and maintain frameworks and modelling on key strategic risks and objectives to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Lead team members in providing leadership, direction, and coordination, and coordinate reporting and accountability processes to ensure seamless execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Risk Management: Provide high-level analysis, oversight, and advice on strategic risk issues to inform business decisions.

OVP Education Development: Develop and provide OVP education programs to enhance workforce capability and reduce risks.

Business Support: Provide high-level support and advice to strategic business processes and frameworks to ensure effective implementation.
