Job Opportunity: Senior Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to lead our employee relations team.

  • This is a senior-level role focused on delivering exceptional employee relations outcomes, with a strong emphasis on ownership, influence, and collaboration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex employee relations matters across our national retail and distribution centre network, providing trusted advice to operational leaders and mentoring a team of HR professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve performance issues, grievances, and disciplinary processes in a fair and timely manner.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to leaders and HR team members on complex ER matters.
  • Liaise with external parties as required to ensure effective resolution of ER cases.
  • Support the interpretation and implementation of enterprise agreements and maintain accurate ER case reporting.
  • Offer generalist HR support across performance, engagement, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Monitor changes to employment legislation and update policies accordingly.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in workplace or employee relations, preferably in the retail or logistics sector.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
  • Calm under pressure and solutions-focused, with a proactive approach to resolving ER matters.
