Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement integrated youth services and programs that meet the evolving needs of our community.
  • BUILD STRONG PARTNERSHIPS WITH LOCAL ORGANISATIONS AND AGENCIES TO DELIVER COMPREHENSIVE YOUTH SERVICES.
  • Oversee the activation, operations, and promotion of the Phoenix Youth Hub, a vibrant hub for youth-focused activities and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the council to ensure seamless service delivery and effective decision-making processes.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS WITH ALL TIERS OF GOVERNMENT AND NON-GOVERNMENT AGENCIES RELEVANT TO YOUNG PEOPLE AND THE YOUTH SERVICE SECTOR IN MARIBYRNONG MUNICIPALITY.
Your Background

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in youth work, community development, education, or a related human/social sciences discipline.
  • Strong experience in operational and strategic leadership, preferably in community-facing roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-level partnerships and achieve positive outcomes through collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in report writing and presentation.
  • Knowledge of budget preparation and monitoring, with the ability to balance operational delivery with strategic planning.
